If we’re going to be working together, it’s important to me that you feel comfortable with the person behind the camera, so here’s a little more about who I am…
My Personal Side
I am a 27 year old, living in the pretty sleepy city of Exeter, Devon and I absolutely love it. I love the slow pace of life it offers, but I also love a city break and exploring new places (I just enjoy retreating back to Devon after!)
I’m an ambivert, which means I am mostly introverted but I love being with people. I love connecting with people on a deeper level, and getting to know people’s quirks! I’m a massive family person, and my siblings are my best mates!
You will often find me in a coffee shop with friends, walking on Dartmoor or cosied up in my room with a hot drink and a film (with my cat!) Alongside photography I am a musician and have enjoyed being able to tour around the UK and EU and further afield with my band playing our songs to audiences for the past ten years. Over the pandemic, my photography hobby became my full time work.
I’m a big fan of cats, films/cinematography, Pinterest, harmonies, k-dramas, Japan and Jesus. My faith is an important aspect of who I am and how I live.
If you’ve not picked up on it already, I’m also a big fan of nature which is why I way prefer using natural light and nature backdrops in my photography. The world is just full of amazing creations and I love to take it all in.
My Photography Journey
I’ve always loved Photography since I was a kid, inspired by my Dad who always had his camera in hand.
I spent a lot of my childhood adventuring around Dartmoor with my family and so I have a real love for being outside; it’s where my love for photography first came about. I love light, so using natural light to create beautiful imagery, experimenting with textures and natural materials to frame my photos is one of my favourite things to do.
I’ve always been inspired by the beauty and intricacies in nature. I began my journey as a photographer taking photos of landscapes, animals and beautiful subjects I found on walks.
In recent years I’ve found a love for portrait photography; my hope is to capture you in a way you’d feel proud to share with others. As a musician also, I’ve had experience both in front of and behind the camera and I will always do my very best to help you feel comfortable. My favourite portraits tend to be the candid ones because they always reveal the personality behind the face. I’m definitely also the person that freezes up when I see a camera in my face so being as subtle as possible is my go to when it comes to photographing people.
Whilst posting my work online, I got many invitations from friends or previous clients to shoot their weddings! I never thought i’d get into wedding photography but here I am! I’ve been enjoying it ever since. I do love a good love story.
Probably my favourite thing to do is work with fellow creatives to create visuals and content for their websites, social pages and products. I love to meet people who are excellent in their craft and getting to see their process is so much fun and a total honour!
